Candy Cain Entertainment is creating and producing original show concepts. As a new company we feel our company is taking a distinctive new approach to standup comedy that we think the marketplace will find interesting and unusual .
One of our strengths is a show called So You Wanna Be A Jokestar, we you a standup comedy competition with a fresh approach that has yet to be done anywhere. This is just one of the original show concepts that we are in the development stages with at this time.
Theodore Cain, president and chief executive officer of Candy Cain Entertainment feels that though the company is new, he brings yearsof personal experience to the venture. At age 19 he was part owner of a nightclub called the Night Owl where he promoted parties and other types of entertainment for a community of party goers. In the 1990's he promoted an after work party on Thursdays at the Rock Garden Cafe located at 61st and 1st Ave, the former Adams Apple with music spun by two of the hottest DJs jn the business DJ Reggie Wells and the great DJ Lady Wells, where he first ventured into producing comedy, bringing in standup comedians the likes of Freddie Ricks, Gerald Kelly and JB Smove to provide Entertainment to the party goers.
As a spin off of So You Wanna Be A Jokestar, Candy Cain Entertainment held a fundraiser called Jokestars for St. Jude to help raise money for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. We look forward to our next fundraiser! In 2010 Theodore studied, trained and became a producer at CTV.
Now at the development stages we are working on original concepts as wellas relationships with other independent producers that will bring a list of collaborations in the near future.
